In a Twitter post, the Google Realtime team stated that they are trying to include the newly launched social tool, Google+ into their feature, and hence they decided to pull the plug on the Realtime updates feature. And that it'll remain so, till they work out a way with Google+ integrated.

Google+ is the search giant's latest attempt at going social. Unveiled recently, Google+ caught the fancy of the user, so much so that every tech enthusiast out there vied for a Google+ invitation. Now with Google looking at integrating its own social tool, it remains to be seen what happens to good old Facebook and Twitter.
