Looks like the recently released mid-range Android phone, the Samsung Galaxy Ace, has already got a Gingerbread update for itself. A pre-release Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread ROM for the phone has been doing the rounds of the internet.
This is welcome news to Ace owners, but not too surprising, as the phone was one of the recent Galaxy devices with Froyo out of the box, including the Gio, Fit, and Mini/Pop. If you own a Galaxy Ace S5830 and intend to install the ROM on your phone, bear in mind that the risks are all your own.
